track that pant up {what i wore}

a little behind the ball today.  among other things, got my butt kicked by legoland yesterday.  I know tough problem right.  but really I think I am a one theme park per year kind of gal.  we will see how that plays out living in socal now.

anyhoo, lets talk the track pant.  they are fantastic, amazing, comfy, flattering, dress up or dress down abilities are endless.  they work great for those with the booty or those wishing they had the booty.  and with booties-as-in-shoes.

big surprise that I paired them with a slouchy T.  but just you wait for more to come.

and a shout out to my shoes, they are at least 6 years old and every season I pull them out again and someone stops me and asks about them.  they have this fun gold fan detail on the side.  they have rocked it for years.  rare for me.  

and last the earlobes.  these earrings are painted by hand, which means they are true originals every time.  the gold chain ever so subtly sparkles as it dangles from hand formed gold ear-wires.  they are just lovely.  **secret sale, only not really, type in ss40 before checkout for 40% off the entire blake collection. {48hrs only.}

back to school sale {I don't wanna be left out of the fun!}

today as I am working on monograms there are so many wonderful back to school moments happening with those I know.

and I sit here and reminisce...man does the phrase "back to school"  bring back such wonderful memories.

I'm totally the kid that loved. loved. loved. back to school.  the shopping for new clothes {hello no brainer}.  new school supplies {it was before my dream that this will be the year of organization fell short and everything was pretty and shiny}.  socializing with all my friends that I hadn't seen over the summer.

man how I would plan and agonize over that first day of school outfit, hairstyle, shoes.

and now as a mom, this is my last fall that I won't have a back to school child.  oh my lord that makes my stomach flip at the thought.  so I am determined to relish in every single little moment.  or at least try my very hardest to eat them up daily.

and really who needs a reason for a sale.  so without anything further.

flowing free {what i wore}

not much to say.  second time around.  of course i love this dress.  flowy, comfy, stylish.  done.  and the shoes too.  I just can't get enough of free people.  can you see this in the fall with boots and a jean jacket?  frick yes.

things I can't seem to find.

here I am knee deep in unpacking boxes.  unpacking is not part of my skill set.  I fall into the I {and by I, I mean my mother in law} just spent all this time packing these boxes why would I want to unpack them and really if I don't know EXACTLY what I want to do with them I would rather not open them at all so it takes months.  but then you really need to find this one certain item and you start opening boxes and things start exploding.

things I can't seem to find.

all my long necklaces {I specifically set aside my favorites for good keeping.  really?}  so this outfit is missing necklaces.  it just would complete the accessorizing.

and also, my razor.  so I may have to break down and go to the drugstore.  this one is very time sensitive.

the dust pan.  so I just sweep dirt into piles around the house like land mines.

my couch.  oh no wait - I need to buy one!  any suggestions??

luckily I did have my trusty tag earrings always at reach.

and a note to accessorizing {which obviously is close to my heart.} - this black dress is so comfy {which is high on my list} but missing something.  then I saw this gal in church rocking one similar with a belt, and hello this is what Jenn.the.stylist. always recommends.  a belt.  so simple.  how could i have forgotten.  the brand is Bobi.  the best most flattering t-shirt I own, well i have 5 of them.  super soft ridiculous jersey. super flattering easy to wear cut.  this dress is on my current wish list.  

shoes.  belts.  jewelry.  do it.  then you can have a basic black dress and take it into so many directions.

matchy matchy monarch adventures {what i wore}

we were walking by this wonderful cottage house on our way to dinner.  they have the most amazing yard of tropical plants.  so as we were stopping to take some outfit shots, my oldest triumphantly found a monarch butterfly caterpillar.  we were all stoked, having seen this recently.  so we put it back so it could complete its life cycle.  then I stopped to fall in love with all their plumeria plants that are blooming.  this being a goal of mine - to get my plumeria of 6+ years to bloom!  this was actually a goal I set around the new year back in seattle, who knew it would lead me to california living.  anyways.  THEN we see a monarch caterpillar building its chrysalis.  seriously we were oodling and awing all over this yard.  then the man in the car in the driveway rolled his window, probably thinking what is this crazy woman and her children doing?  note: my husband usually stands wayside as these crazy moments unfold.   how fun is life, right?  but this man proceeds to show us his butterfly garden and milkweed and even gives us seeds!  and tells me he has 120 plumeria.  oh my so cool

oh and my outfit.  me of most complete indecision to love only one thing, seriously how many times to I just LOVE whatever it is I am wearing.  {wait to you see my new zara purchases!}  anyways.  I by far love this turquoisey color the best.  and so I matched my earrings and I feel just so coordinated.  is that cool again?  anymore?  black, white, and turquoise all over. 

and some fun bracelets including my monograms and some pieces that just haven't made their way to my website yet because life and moving and all these other things have made Lucia K. take a back of the bus even farther like in a trailer hitched to the back of the bus backseat.  only momentarily!  I'm currently delirious.  good night.
